Welfare Fraud and the Criminalization of Poverty

While the bulk of my research has focused on peoples’ experiences in the labour market, I have also had a sustained focus on those excluded from the labour market and relying on social assistance. Specifically, I trace the ways in which policies are enacted through their racialized and gendered enforcement.
